LEGAL & PASSENGER CONDITIONS

Terms of
carriage.

Conditions governing passenger bookings, seat reservations, check-in, baggage, conduct and operator obligations across Byne’s Intercounty Bus Station services.

Policy version: terms-carriage-v1. Local legal counsel sign-off is required before live commercial activation in each operating jurisdiction.

1. Operator & Scope

These Terms of Carriage apply to passenger transport services operated by Byne’s Intercounty Bus Station National and International Services (established 20 April 2026; headquarters in Monrovia, Liberia and Canberra, Australia). Services are offered country by country only on verified, published corridors.

2. Tickets, Seat Allocation & Boarding

Every confirmed booking allocates a specific seat label on the assigned vehicle layout (16-seat commuter or 30-seat intercounty coach). Tickets are valid only for the date, departure time, route and passenger named on the booking. Passengers must check in at the designated departure terminal at least 25 to 35 minutes prior to departure and present either their opaque QR digital boarding pass or booking reference (`BYN-XXXXXX`).

3. Fares, Taxes & Payment Verification

Fares are published in Liberian Dollars (LRD) with indicative USD reference values for Liberia corridors. A booking is confirmed only upon verified payment from an enabled payment provider (such as Lonestar Cell MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money) or an audited station cash receipt recorded by an authorised booking agent.

4. Baggage & Restricted Items

Each adult fare includes one (1) standard checked bag (up to 20 kg on commuter/coach routes, or 25 kg on the Monrovia–Ganta corridor) plus one (1) small personal carry-on item. Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, unsealed commercial cargo, firearms and illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

5. Minors & Assisted Passengers

Underage passengers must travel with a parent or authorised adult guardian in compliance with applicable travel requirements. Passengers requiring priority front-row seating (Seats 1A/1B) or step-assisted boarding should select the assistance option during checkout.

6. Delays, Disruptions & Trip Cancellations

Departure and arrival times are scheduled in local market time (GMT / Africa/Monrovia) and are subject to highway, weather and checkpoint conditions. Journey durations are estimates and are not guaranteed. If Byne’s cancels a published trip, affected passengers are notified via SMS or email and offered a full refund or free rebooking.
